The University of South Australia and Adelaide Festival Centre Jointly Hosted the 2019 Australia-China Arts and Cultural Symposium

On February 10th, the University of South Australia and Adelaide Festival Centre jointly hosted the 2019 Australia-China Arts and Cultural Symposium. Dr. Ryan Webb, Director of Arts Investment & Cultural Diplomacy, Department of Communications and the Arts of Australia, Professor Ying Zhu, Director of Australian Centre for Asian Business at the University of South Australia, and Mr. Gouglas Gautier, CEO & Artistic Director of Adelaide Festival Centre attended the event. Mr. Zhi Yang, Minister-Counselor for Cultural Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Australia, and Mr. Lijun Pi, Vice Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate-General in Adelaide were invited.

The Symposium was a part of the Chinese New Year celebrations of the Adelaide Festival Centre. Relevant experts discussed topics about how to promote arts and cultural exchanges between China and Australia, and what might be the blueprint for future work. The University of South Australia also released the Australia-China Arts and Cultural Exchange Report at the Symposium.
