On November 6, Consul-General HE Lanjing hosted a reception for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at her residence to celebrate its successful China tour in late October. About 30 people, including the ASO Managing Director Mr. Vincent Ciccarello, some musicians on this tour and diplomats of the Chinese Consulate-General attended.

Consul-General HE extended her congratulations to the ASO on its great success of the tour to China. As the flag for South Australian arts and culture, the ASO brought a musical feast to the Chinese audience and fostered mutual understanding and cultural awareness between the two sides. She appreciated the hard work and dedication of all the members of the orchestra and hoped the ASO will use music to make the symphony of China-Australia friendship even more inspiring.

Director Ciccarello said more than two decades after its first tour of Asia, the ASO returned with more than 70 musicians to China to perform in Zhuhai, Shanghai and Beijing and achieved an exciting and memorable hit. It was impressive to witness China's tremendous achievements in development, especially the construction of a series of world-class cultural and musical facilities. Music is a universal language for mankind, and the ASO will continue its efforts to promote cultural exchanges and friendly cooperation between the two countries.

Three orchestra musicians performed a stunning wind trio live. The reception was overflowing with joy, pleasure and beautiful melodies.
