On 7 November, Consul-General Li Dong met with the director of Today Adelaide Media, Mr. Cao Wei. Deputy Consul-General He Jiangchuan attended the meeting.

Mr. Cao introduced the media company and the preparations for the 2024 Australian Chinese New Year Gala. Consul-General Li appreciated the efforts made by the local Chinese community to pass on and carry forward Chinese culture and promote cultural exchanges and sharing between China and Australia. He wished the New Year Gala would be successful. The two sides also had an in-depth discussion on cultural exchanges between China and South Australia, especially the role of overseas Chinese.
