Consul-General Li Dong attends the second “Australian Voice-Chinese Singing Competition” Awards Ceremony

On 18 November, Consul-General Li Dong attended the second “Australian Voice-Chinese Singing Competition” awards ceremony held by the Australia-China Cultural Promotion Association and other overseas Chinese organizations. Deputy Consul-General He Jiangchuan attended the event.

In his speech, Consul-General Li said that China-Australia relations are stabilizing and improving, and the meeting between the leaders of China and Australia earlier this month has provided strong impetus to the bilateral relationship. He said that the event is a vivid manifestation of the cultural exchanges between China and Australia and the amity between the peoples of the two countries.

More than 600 students from more than 20 schools including students from Sydney and Melbourne attended the competition.

Consul-General Li handed out prizes to the winners, and the contestants performed "Meeting At the Yurt", "Prelude to Water Melody" and other Chinese songs. The atmosphere of the event was friendly and warm.
