The Chinese Consulate-General in Adelaide was officially opened on January 18^th 2016. Its consular district covers the State of South Australia. Its major objectives include promoting friendly and cooperative relations between China and South Australia, safeguarding the legal rights and interests of overseas Chinese and promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in politics, economy, trade, education, science and technology, culture and other fields.
