On 16 November, the inaugural South Australia Dragon Boat Festival and the founding ceremony of the South Australia Chinese Dragon Boat Association were successfully held at the Torrens River, Adelaide. Consul-General Li Dong attended and delivered a speech. Nearly a thousand people, including the Chairman of the Association, members of SA State Parliament, the Deputy Mayor and former Lord Mayor of Adelaide, the Chief Executive Officer of Sport SA, and leaders of the local Chinese community attended the event.
