On 16 May, the Consulate-General of China in Adelaide held the South Australia preliminary round of the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students at the Adelaide Zoo. Approximately 70 people attended the event, including the representatives of the South Australian Multicultural Council, the Order of Australia Association’s SA Branch,  the Adelaide Zoo and teachers, students and parents from local schools. Deputy Consul-General Chen Gang attended the event and delivered a speech.
