On 8 February, Consul-General Li Dong attended the Chinatown Adelaide Chinese New Year Street Party. Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong and Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell, South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, several Ministers of the South Australian Government, the Leader of the Opposition, Federal and State Members of Parliament and more than 30,000 fellow Chinese compatriots, local people and tourists participated in the event.
