On 21st December, Consul-General Li Dong watched the basketball match between Adelaide Lightning and Perth Lynx at the South Australia State Basketball Centre. The match, part of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) 2025–26 season, was packed with local fans. Han Xu, the star centre of the Chinese national women’s basketball team, who recently joined the Perth Lynx, attracted many local Chinese fans to the match and helped the team win the match 109:82. After the match, Consul-General Li Dong visited Han Xu and encouraged her to make positive contributions to cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Australia.
