On the evening of 12 February, the Consulate-General of China in Adelaide and the Government of South Australia jointly hosted the 2026 Chinese New Year  Gala Dinner at the SkyCity in Adelaide. The event brought together nearly 260 guests including South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, State Ministers and Members of Parliament, the Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's South Australian Office, the President of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia and Head of Bank of China's Sydney Branch Mr Li Mang，local mayors alongside representatives from  local Chinese community, Chinese enterprises and students, Consular Corps and various sectors of South Australia.
