On 3 March, Consul-General Li Dong attended the Chinese New Year reception hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney. Attendees included Director of the Sydney ETO Ricky Chong, Minister for Trade and Investment Joe Szakacs, representing the Premier of South Australia; Shadow Minister for Education Jack Batty,  alongside multiple state MPs, representatives from local business associations and enterprises.
